Lewisville Fire Fighters and the Johnson family are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Captain Gayle Johnson. In his memory we have established the Captain Gayle Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Captain Gayle (CJ) Johnson was a pillar in the city of Lewisville, spending 30 years in the Lewisville Fire Department. Captain Johnson loved the fire service and protecting his community. He was a kind man who always took the time to speak to you. He loved kids and made them feel welcome.

Captain Johnson also founded Johnson Feed Company, where again, he served the community by offering the products his neighbors needed, not what he thought would make him rich. The loss of Captain Johnson has been felt throughout the community, but his memory will never be lost.

In lieu of flowers, if you wish, you may donate to the Captain Gayle Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund. Lewisville Fire Fighters Association, Local 3606, will award this scholarship to exceptional Fire Services students at the NCTC Fire Program.
